Lincoln the Soldier Statue by Leonard Crunelle

Once you pass from the rotunda into the tomb's hallways, you see excerpts from Lincoln's speeches and small bronze statues such as this one.

The original full-size statue stands in Dixon, Illinois, and shows Lincoln as he might have looked while a soldier in the Black Hawk War of 1832. Lincoln recalled that he "went to the campaign, served nearly three months, met the ordinary hardships of such an expedition, but was in no battle."
